Hello.
My name is Cristian Landero, I'm 23 years old and I was born in the southernmost country of Central America – Panama. I consider myself a varied artist. I do website designs, illustrations (both digital and traditional), and photography. My aim as a designer is to create vibrant and detailed designs. For the last two years I've been doing freelance work as a photo editor and website designer.
My creative talent was noted during my age of 5 by my family, my school teachers and friends. I was chosen many times by my school to represent them in drawing contests held localy and I participated in many inside school activities were creativity had to be involved. I designed my first website back in 1998. Since then I've spent a lot of time on my computer to learn how to do what you see here. Yes, I am self-taught and I can be found working on other areas besides web and graphic design such as traditional and digital art.
While creating site designs I try to work closely with the clients and pay much attention to preparatory work. I like to hand in perfectly crafted works to help your business and/or products standout from the crowd.
Web History.
When I first started designing websites I really had no clue what I was doing. My first website was hosted by Geocities. I remember I used to feature the artworks of many artists I found on the internet. It was pretty much a hobby back then but the one who got me into all of this was my brother.
One day I saw my brother designing his own personal website, he asked me to make him a drawing to put on the frontpage of his site and when I saw my drawing on the screen I was literally shocked. I wanted to try it! So I went on and built my first site which wasn't really that amazing but I searched the internet for tools I could use to build a better site. Searching the web for those tools that would help me create a better site I came across my first image editing software - Jasc PaintShop Pro. I thought it was the coolest software ever! But a few years later I was introduced to Photoshop. Everybody who works on design knows that Photoshop is THE BEST image editing software in the market. I was also introduced to Dreamweaver but I used to code my websites all by hand. Dreamweaver has made my job a lot easier.
So after a lot of practice I decided to buy my own domain. I wanted to create an artistic website more than just a personal site where I would showcase some of my digital and traditional art. I registered In Mind Creations dot com. I spent several weeks planning its design and almost an entire month working on it and to my surprise when I first launched it, it became rather popular. I honestly had no idea that In Mind Creations would be liked so much. I earned several recognitions and awards given to me by some design firms in the US and other parts of the world. People would e-mail me congratulating me for my work. It was awesome! Heh. The website even got me straight into the finalists for the Panama Golden @ Awards. But time passed and I never updated the website again. I had a job and I was living in the city and I had no time to sit down and update the site. It is still online though and here I am just thinking of what I want to do with it. I've been considering to redesign it but I still don't have the time to do it. Maybe someday.
